Array and Multi-Sensor Processing (A&MSP)
Acronym: RFSPS

This activity provides a framework to carry out preliminary studies as well as lab measurement campaigns related to specific topics related to radio Frequency Signal processing applicable to Satellite communications and Navigation.

This activity targets 4 independent studies and measurement campaigns to be carried out as independent Tasks:

1) To provide an efficient methodology for the estimation of the coverage characteristics delivered by different antenna architectures. In particular, including Single Feed Per Beam & Array-Fed Reflectors as well as Direct Radiating Arrays.

2) To carry out post Processing of Propagation Measurements for smart gateway Applications.

3) To use a flexible correlator – in terms of location on the correlation function – in addition to the 3 correlators used for tracking, to perform the correlation distortion detection and characterization of navigation signal.

4) To develop an evolutionary framework for positioning sensor fusion. The considered sensors in this study are a GNSS receiver, an inertial measurement unit and a camera with a fisheye lens pointing towards the sky.
