METRO-LINK+ - Development of a Wireless Sensors and Actuators network for trains and railway stations+

The objective of the METRO-LINK+ project is to develop a wireless communications system between trains and railway stations that enables the synchronization of the opening/closing operations of automatic doors. The project includes the design and implementation of an antenna integrated in the metallic envelope of the train’s doors, a wireles sensors and actuators node (WSAN) integrated in the electronics of the existing Door Control Units, and a gateway node to exchange status information between trains and the platforms infrastructure.
