Roshan received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Signal Theory and Communications Department at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya-BarcelonaTech (UPC) in 2024. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (2009) from the University of Colombo School of Computing (Colombo, Sri Lanka) and a European double Master’s degree in Distributed Computing from the UPC and KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm, Sweden) in 2014. From 2015 to 2018, he held fellowships and visiting researcher positions at several academic institutions, including Aalborg University (Denmark), UCLouvain (Belgium), and the University of Vienna (Austria). 

In 2019, he joined the Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC), where he is currently a researcher at the Sustainable Artificial Intelligence (SAI) research unit. Over the years, Roshan has been actively contributing to several EC-funded projects (5GCroCo, INSPIRE-5Gplus, VERGE) and national-level projects (SUCCESS-6G).

His research interests include cybersecurity, distributed/collaborative learning systems, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and networked and distributed systems.
