Allen Abishek

Allen Abishek (Bangalore, India) pursued a bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Windsor, Canada (2018), followed by a master’s degree in Engineering Physics with a specialization in Silicon Photonics from McMaster University (2021).

His professional journey began at Semtech, where he worked as a VCSEL and Photodiode Device Characterization Engineer. Driven by a keen interest in emerging technologies, he transitioned from photonics to software-defined networking (SDN), network functions virtualization (NFV), and cloud computing. This shift led him back to India, where he served as a Network Engineer and Private 5G Engineer, developing solutions for IT and OT convergence in Industry 4.0.

Currently, Allen is a researcher at CTTC, focusing on network service orchestration, automation, and AI-enabled network digital twins for security network services orchestration. His diverse experiences have equipped him with a unique blend of skills in photonics, SDN, NFV, and 5G, enabling him to contribute to the cutting-edge advancements in the field of communications technology.
