Release 4.0 of ns-3 5G-LENA simulator is now available
CTTC as lead developer and official maintainer of the 5G-LENA is pleased to announce that v4.0 5G-LENA network simulator is now available for download.
This release is compatible with the latest ns-3.44 release of the ns-3 network simulator. 5G-LENA v4.0 includes multiple relevant new features, such as low-complexity PMI (Precoding Matrix Indicator), RI (Rank Indicator) and CQI (Channel Quality Indicator) selection methods, RSRP-based (Reference Signal Received Power) initial attachment, Kronecker beamforming, UE multi-panel support, CSI reference signals and CSI interference measurements, subband CQI, and subband-aware schedulers, all compliant with 3GPP specifications. Simulation examples and many extensive tests are included in the release.
Additionally, the release includes a reinforcement learning-based scheduler and support for new and simplified channel models, developed within two Google Summer of Code projects (carried out in 2024 and supervised by CTTC researchers).
The release also includes important bug fixes and an update to the latest ns-3 release.
