A key innovation of the SUCCESS-6G project is the development of an AI-powered condition monitoring and fault provisioning service for vehicular edge infrastructure. This system enables real-time awareness of vehicle component health, minimizing productivity losses, reducing unplanned downtime, and optimizing maintenance scheduling.
By analyzing historical data alongside real-time vehicle diagnostics, the system detects irregular functional patterns, facilitating predictive maintenance tailored to the specific needs of each component.
Under the coordination of CTTC, the project also addresses critical challenges such as imperfect onboard unit measurements, cybersecurity threats, and energy-efficient edge computing, ensuring a high-fidelity estimation of the vehicular network state and enhancing the resilience of next-generation mobility systems. Field tests are undertaken at cellnex Mobility Lab.
