On 11th May 2023, CTTC’s Director of EU Programmes and Industrial Contracts, Dr. Carles Antón Haro, will give a keynote speech in the 6th edition of the prestigious 5G Forum. The talk is entitled “Key Strategies for the Development of 6G: the Vision of the Private Side in the Joint Undertaking for Smart Networks and Services (JU-SNS)” and it is given on behalf of the 6G Industry Association, where Dr. Carles Anton-Haro is one of its Governing Board members. The presentation reports on a first comprehensive set of key strategic reflections and recommendations towards the development of 6G smart networks and services, as per the recently published position paper of the 6G-IA. On the one hand, it revolves around a number of strategies aimed to reinforce the 6G technological sovereignty at the European level; and, on the other, to ensure a sustainable development of such systems at the environmental, societal, and economic levels. These recommendations will be instrumental for the elaboration of upcoming releases of SNS JU’s Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA), and its R&I Work Programme.
