5G-EPICENTRE is deploying an open end-to-end experimentation 5G platform that serves the needs of and is available for the PPDR community. In the framework of this project, the CTTC team is developing a testbed federation solution, acting also as service orchestrator, built around the Karmada project, which allows application deployment and resource management on multiple datacenters in a hybrid cloud scenario using industry-oriented open APIs. Besides, Karmada’s scheduler has been extended to support PPDR demanding use cases towards a dynamic and efficient use of available cloud/edge resources to support mission-critical applications.
